The final session saw rapporteurs present a summary of discussions on the three key issues of concern identified during the morning, which related to funding, performance contracting, and ensuring effective partnerships. Participants covered a lot of ground and reached a general consensus. We all know that change is difficult but there is a strong will to make it happen.
The CST met in Rome this week, to finalize their papers ready for presentation to the Executive Committee in Lisbon in October. The decision-making process will begin at the AGM in Maputo in December. In the meantime, there will be a donor consultation and further stakeholder engagement with specific outreach to the Center Boards. The working groups final papers after input received during the IRRI retreat are already available on the Change management website and the Virtual Forums.
A summary report of the Change retreat is also available here.
Further information, comments and concerns will be aired at frequent intervals on this blog…don’t forget that you can comment at any time and anonymously if you wish.
SO PLEASE KEEP COMING BACK!

I was just wondering if it would be possible to open a discussion space about the CST paper / suggestions that will be presented during ExCO. The working group papers are ceratinly important but the CST summary and recommendations taken from the reports and external review are now the interesting document to discuss, isn’t it?
